FILM.UA Distribution sponsored by the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation (UCF) will represent the Ukrainian Cinema at the American Film Market!

The Ukrainian Cultural Foundation has supported FILM.UA Distribution by organizing a stand and screenings of the Ukrainian cinema at the American Film Market!

FILM.UA Distribution company thanks the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation for grant support of the Organization of stand and screenings at the American Film Market project implementation on November 6-13, 2019, in order to introduce the Ukrainian films to targeted audience and to find potential partners for their worldwide distribution.

This project is intended to introduce the Ukrainian film industry and its best representatives to the international film community at the world's largest AFM film market.

I am sure that our cooperation will not only help to introduce the Ukrainian films as a competitive product at the world's largest film market, but will also provide an unprecedented opportunity to attract new partners and increase interest to the Ukrainian culture as such," said Igor Storchak, Director of FILM.UA Distribution company.

AFM project implies the installation of the Ukrainian stand. Three-person team – two employees of FILM.UA Distribution company and one independent representative of domestic film industry will assist the stand. They will be selected on a competitive basis. The competition is organized by FILM.UA Distribution and the Ukrainian State Film Agency. The requirements to candidates and assessment methods thereof are available by reference.

The stand will introduce to international community the following films: The Rising Hawk, Foxter & Max which will be screened at film market. There will be also introduced such films as Cherkasy, The Dragon Spell, The Adventures of St. Nicholas, Mavka: The Forest Song, and The Stolen Princess. Moreover, the stand will represent the catalog of the best Ukrainian film projects.

It will include up to 20 Ukrainian films with a unique opportunity to be introduced to international target audience. The projects will be selected on a competitive basis. All players of the Ukrainian film market, besides representatives of the FILM.UA Group, are welcome to participate in competition. Selection details are available by reference.

For this purpose two separate lots were created: Participation in International Networking and Promotion of National Audiovisual Sector. The American Film Market (AFM) is a film industry event that takes place annually in early November in Santa Monica, California. The 2019 AFM will be held November 6-13. More than eight thousand people attend the eight-day event each year to make new contacts, sell, fund and buy movies.

Participants from more than 70 countries visit the movie market, including company executives, agents, filmmakers, distributors, festival directors, financiers, producers, writers, etc.

AFM is held by the Independent Film and Television Alliance (IFTA), a trade association representing the world's producers and distributors of independent cinema films and television programs.
