UA Formats struck a deal with TTV, a Polish TV channel (TVN Group) selling format rights for the production of Heads and Tails TV program. According to the agreement, the TV channel will produce at least six episodes of the program, and the Polish Heads and Tails will be broadcast this autumn, on October, 27.

“I believe that Heads and Tails is one of the most successful original Ukrainian formats ever. It has received Teletriumph award many times and is known abroad because it participated in all major international content markets. And finally, UA Formats managed to reach an agreement about its first international adaptation,” says Nadia Korotushka, UA Formats.

“Head and Tails was one of the first foreign programmes on TTV when we started the channel. Now we wish to make a step further and offer our audience the Polish hosts from TTV, who will guide this unforgettable journey through different cities”, says Lidia Kazen, Programming Director TTV.

Just a reminder: Heads and Tails is a Ukrainian travel reality show produced by TeenSpirit Studio. The program was first aired in 2011; the premiere took place on Inter TV channel (Ukraine), later the show was broadcast by К1 (Ukraine), Pyatnitsa! (Russia), 7th Channel (Kazakhstan), ТТV (Poland), Belarus 2 (Belarus), and 3+ (Estonia). In Ukraine, the program’s share twice exceeded the average broadcaster’s share. Presently, 19 seasons of the program have been produced (371 episodes total). The Heads and Tails format has been sold abroad for the first time; UA formats, a unique catalog of the most successful Ukrainian formats of the recent decade, is in charge of the format distribution.

Description: Each weekend, two show hosts go to different cities of the world. According to the program rules, one of them is to live on Saturday and Sunday for 100 USD only, and the second one can spend unlimited funds from a “gold” card. To decide how each of them will pass the weekend for the program, the hosts throw a coin before each journey, and heads or tails decide it all. If it is heads, the host who threw the coin gets the gold card, and the partner, 100 USD; if it is tails, the decision is vice versa.

During the program, the audience is told about the main sights of the city the hosts are in, advised hotel names and quoted the prices of this or that service.
