On March 30, Ukrposhta in cooperation with the Animagrad studio (FILM.UA Group), put into circulation the series of artistic postage stamps dedicated to the Ukrainian animation The Stolen Princess.

A presentation and special ceremony for cancellation of the postage stamps took place in Ukrposhta’s ART HUB. Alexander Pertsovckiy, first deputy general director of Ukrposhta, took part in the ceremony, as well as creators of the animation – producer Egor Olesov, director Oleg Malamuzh and scriptwriter Yaroslav Voytseshek, and Hamster Vinnitsky - chartoon character.

"Philately is a hobby not only for adults, but for children. Ukrposhta is now developing children's philately and becoming closer to teenagers. After all, you can paste the stamp on the envelope and send it to your friend in Japan, Holland, Germany. We have high hopes that the stamp "The Stolen Princess" will revive the children's interest in stamps, postcrossing and mail in general. And Ukrposhta in the future will still be able to surprise you with novelties of philately" Alexander Pertsovsky noted.

"We are very pleased that we have such wonderful partners! Indeed, both animation and cinema are just beginning to develop in Ukraine, and it seems to me that all these records would be impossible without proper partnership. Thank you, we really appreciate it" Egor Olesov said thanking.

Following the ceremony, Maria Klauning, project manager of the Animagrad studio, gave a lecture ‘How the 3D animation is born’ and presented the case of The Stolen Princess to the guests of the ceremony.

Since today, the post stamps will appear in all the offices of Ukrposhta. The two postage stamps are performed on self-adhesive paper. On one of them the main characters, Princess Mila, her father – Kiev prince Vladimir, and her beloved actor Ruslan, are depicted on the background of ancient Kiev. Another postage stamp features funny Khomyak Vinnytsky, one of the most popular characters of the animation.

Denomination of postage stamps is 5 UAH. The circulation of each stamp is 100 thousand copies.

About the film. This wonderful story happened in the age of valiant knights, beautiful princesses, and battling sorcerers. Ruslan, a wandering artist dreaming to become a knight, met beautiful Mila and fell in love with her; he didn’t even suspect that she is the King’s daughter. However, the lovers’ happiness wasn’t meant to last too long. Chоrnomor, the evil sorcerer, appeared in a magic vortex and stole Mila right before Ruslan’s eyes to transform her power of love into his own magic power.
