Today The Stolen Princess (Animagrad, FILM.UA Group), a Ukrainian national record-holder for its first-weekend box-office (amounted $843 546) starts its international journey from the theaters of Romania! Ukrainian animated feature will be released on 79 screens. Local distributor of the picture is Ro Image, which distributes features from Paramount and Universal on the territory, and the rights holder for Romania is Fast Production.
In the beginning of 2018 a promo-campaign for the film has started in Romania. The official poster, teaser and trailer were adopted and localized for Romanian audience. The Stolen Princess title was translated in Romanian as “Prințesa furată”.
Film was dubbed into Romanian by best professional actors and local celebrities. The Cat’s voice in the adaptation belongs to Eduard Mihail Andreianu, a hip-hop star, choreographer, director and actor, also known and famous as CRBL. The main film character Ruslan is dubbed by Cristi Neacșu, a highly-professional dubbing actor, who works exactly with the animated projects. The Guy in The Croods is dubbed by this actor (the original star-voice belongs to Ryan Reynolds), as well as Jonathan in the Hotel Transylvania (originally voiced-over by Andy Samberg) and Clumsy Smurf in The Smurfs 2 (originally voice-overed by Anton Yelchin).

Second country for the international Stolen Princess release is Turkey, the premiere takes place on March 23 there. April 5 is the date for Croatian theatrical premiere, April 6 – for Bulgarian one, and April 12 – for the countries of Middle East. For the summer 2018 the theatrical releases for the film are scheduled in China, South Korea, Israel, Poland and Estonia; Iranian, Czech Republic’s and Latin American distributors will announce its premiere dates for The Stolen Princess soon. The film has sold to more than 50 territories worldwide, including France, Germany, South Africa and Asia.
FYI. The Stolen Princess is the first animated feature film for Ukrainian and international release in the production line of the Animagrad studio. The premiere of the film in Ukraine was March 7, 2018. The rights for its release have been pre-sold to more than 50 territories, including China, South Korea, France, Poland, Bulgaria, Germany, countries of the MENA region and Latin America. The Stolen Princess became the winner of the 9th competitive selection of Ukrainian State Film Agency; the sum of state financing amounts to about 20 percent of the film’s total budget of $ 5 000 000.
