Kinorob will proceed its cooperation with FILM.UA Group on the new project calledThe Rising Hawk

Shooting of the historical action will start in the spring of2018

Kinorob company signed an agreement with FILM.UA Group to provide a package of services under special conditions for the production, promotion and distribution of the historical action movie called The Rising Hawk. The project is the winner of the ninth competitive selection of cinema projects by the Ukrainian State Film Agency. The budget of the film amounted to 75 million hryvnias, with 30 million hryvnias of state support. Movie will be directed by Akhtem Seitablayev, and produced by Egor Olesov and Yuri Prylypko.

The first project, in which Kinorob studio took advantage of the package proposal of FILM.UA Group, was an adventure fantasy film The Stronghold. “Joint efforts during the work on The Stronghold allowed to achieve maximum results. As part of the partnership agreement, we were provided with the production facilities and pavilions of FILM.UA studio, postproduction services and VFX, had marketing and PR support of the project. In addition, the film was presented on all key international media markets, and the rights to display are sold to Spain, Italy, France and French-speaking territories, Japan, South Korea, India, Belarus, Moldova and a number of other countries, - says Egor Olesov, producer. - So Kinorob studio will continue cooperation with FILM.UA Group in this direction. Our next project is a historical action The Rising Hawk, and shooting will start in the spring of 2018".

Now active preparation for shooting is underway. In November, director Akhtem Seitablayev (The Cyborgs, Haytarma), director of photography Yuriy Korol (The Cyborgs, The Stronghold, Battle for Sevastopol), art director Vlad Odudenko (The Stronghold, The Tribe, Brothers. The Final Confession, The Guide), producer Egor Olesov (Battle for Sevastopol, The Stronghold) and scriptwriter Yaroslav Voytseshek (The Stronghold) made a research expedition to the Carpathians. During the trip, the creative team was looking for the main locations for future filming, as well as visited the village of Naguevychi, where was born Ivan Franko – author of Zakhar Berkut story that underlines the plot. The group met historians, ethnographers, experts in life and work of Ivan Franko, and explored the details of life of the ancient inhabitants of Carpathians. The movie will reflect all the materials collected during the expedition. The details will be provided soon.
