Shooting of Film studio FILM.UA and TV channel STB co-production project "The Bridegroom" has started

Shooting of a 4-series comedy melodrama "The Bridegroom" – by FILM.UA and TV channel STB co-production - has started in Kyiv. Premiere of the series will take place on TV-channel STB in 2017.

"Our story begins in the next way: mother of the main character, tired of the fact her adult son is an avid bachelor, decides to urgently marry him. Therefore, the series reveals a generation conflict, as well as raises difficult questions: why, when there is love between young people, don’t they want to marry each other? Why are they not rushing to create a family? We are trying to talk about this in a funny way, but seriously at the same time, - says director of the series Vladimir Melnichenko. - Moreover, we have a wonderful duet - young and beautiful actors Yekaterina Varchenko and Sergei Kolos. I hope the viewer will be able to enjoy their synergy through the screen."

Pavel Soloviev is a great lover of women. He has never been married but gets actively involved in relationship with women. Sometimes even with several at the same time. However, his rule is “no affairs at work”. Standard scheme of his intrigues is simple: light, pleasant relationships; meetings on his or “her” territory; painless break-up in case of the slightest hint at a wedding plans; in case of break-up yet another “ex” gets a comforting compensation - an inexpensive but decent car, money, jewelry. To be short, everyone is happy. Nevertheless, one morning changes everything... Morning of the day, when a new sales manager Lena Titova, with whom Soloviev had a short affair six years ago, appears at his automobile showroom. And at home he has his mom - Lidia Vasilievna, who came from the town, where Pasha was born, to get him married urgently ... Since that day Pasha's life changes completely.

The project claims two main locations: main character’s spacious apartment that received several design awards, and a real automobile showroom. During the shooting of the main character driving his expensive red car in district of Kyiv Obolon, we needed not only a carriage – a trailer bed, on which the filmed car, light and camera were fixed, but a police cortege in addition to accompany the shooting process . Performer of the main female leading part Yekaterina Varchenko shared with us her new experience:

"My heroine speaks Korean perfectly. For the shooting I learn by heart necessary phrases in the script, practicing a lot to pronounce them correctly, not to be ashamed in front of Koreans in case they hear." (laughing).

Sergei Kolos, performer of the leading male role, shared his opinion on why viewers should wait for the premiere of the series "The Bridegroom". "Moral of the film is the next: it is not the main thing in life to set goals, achieve them, and then be dissolved in euphoria. It is not worth living a life planning everything. You just need to appreciate every step and try to fill it with love."

Shooting will last until mid-September.
