On the 27th of November the Insiders project released a new films dedicated to the extreme urban researches and gathered a full house in the biggest cinema of the country “Kyivska Rus”.

After the last spring screening and the full house in the “October/Zhovten” cinema (600 people in the hall designed only for 400 people), the Insiders Project team did everything possible to welcome on the premier night as more people as possible. But even the hall with 1200 seats in “Kyivska Rus” could not stir all comers, despite of the fact that this time the screening was not for free.

Dmitry Hromov, the leading and main ideologist of the Insiders Project said: Last Sunday the extreme screening of the new episodes was held.  The experiment was about renting the biggest cinema in the Ukraine with the amount of seats for 1200 people. We were not sure till the very end that we would gather that much people over there. As long as there are no episodes in the open access, people only remember us due to the previous presentations. But it turned out that they remember and quite well. At the screening day all tickets were sold out and we gathered a full hall! The viewers welcomed the movie really good, they applauded during the screening, they were laughing and they were taking pictures with the team members. This experience and this full house showed that people like our effort and our video. And we were inspired for the new experiments.”

During the screening the 5th and 6th movies of the Insiders Project were showed, which the project team shoots together with the FILM.UA Group. In the “Dying Factory” movie the team goes on the expedition at the once secret Arsenal factory. Via the narrow pipes the team got into the maze of basements, that connect the factory underground. There, the team waited till the nighttime and got out to the factory territory in order to show the viewer the former strength of the soviet manufacture.

“There Be Giants” movie tells us about the flooded coal mine.  Together with the crew the viewers made a thrilling and dangerous trip on the railcars of the freight train, examined the industrial excavators and climbed on the 80 meters high top of the digging machine on the thin iron ropes.

“The success of the project screening shows that it has its own audience that is ready to go to the cinema and pay not only their time but their money in order to see the unique content on the big screen. Yes, this is the niche audience, and it cannot fit to the portrait of the viewer, so beloved by our “big” blockbusters. But it exists, it is active, solvent and numerous, it is here, on the movie premiere, in the social networks, simply on the streets of our cities. We are sure, that our project will be popular among viewers and we believe in its commercial potential as an alternative film content”Polina Tolmacheva, marketing and PR director of the FILM.UA Group.

The Insiders Project team announced the following screening of the first season episodes that will be held in January 2017. Traditionally, the location of the researches and the exact place and time of screening are kept in secret.

“The alternative cinema content exists in the world for a fairly long time.the producer of the project, Katerina Vyshnevska, FILM.UA, commented – Those are the live streams of the loud performances of the Vienna Opera and the Royal Ballet of UK and the premiere of the “Game of Thrones” and “Doctor Who” new episodes, and rock-stars’ concerts. What traits must the project have in order to be shown on the big screen along with the Hollywood blockbusters and animations? They must provide the averages viewer with the events and locations that are unreachable for them. Not everyone can allow himself to go to Vienna to see the La Traviata performance or to London to visit the Rolling Stones anniversary concert. It is good when the content has strictly defined fan-base.  Why are the fans so important? They actively search for the information about their idols in any kind of media. The Insiders Project has these both traits. And just simply saying, those who saw can confirm why couldn’t we try to make a real movie screening out of the series’ movies, the team shoots really cinematic. That is about the average viewer. Speaking about the professional industry I may say that in terms of limited cinema market when it is a lack of both, viewers’ money and the film screens, the country needs movie content, the production of which can be commensurate with the country’s possible box office. We found such project so we are looking forward to see you on the following screenings of the Insiders Project”

We remind you that the Insiders Project is a documentary series about the extreme urban researches.
