Skill Bill program announces 2016/2017 academic year

FILM.UA Faculty center for education has started its 2016/2017 academic year from hosting a master class within KIEV MEDIA WEEK forum. The first Skill Bill program master class  ервый мастер-класс программы Skill Bill was lead by Tom Burton, the leading innovation and technology expert at BBC Studios, department of digital storytelling (UK), the author of Home: Spacewalk Experience – a well-known project for a virtual trip over the International Space Station, BBC innovation project manager. Tom Burton spoke of working in VR (virtual reality) and of the prospects of this technology for the media. The second master class took place further away again – in Almaty within the Kazakhstan media summit. And as soon as October 13th FILM.UA Faculty’s Skill Bill program will be back where it genuinely belongs – FILM.UA Studio. 

2016/2017 academic year curriculum will traditionally give some useful practical information to all of the key specialists – TV and film content developers – producers, directors, cameramen, production designers, distrtibutors; and surely without bypassing covering of the vital trends without developing which media and film business in Ukraine would be unable to keep up with the times. These are cross-media and cross-platform project development, branded content development, format business establishment and promotion, digital sphere, web series and many other things. A distinctive feature of FILM.UA Faculty course is lecturing by practicing professionals from Ukraine and Europe who are successful content developers right now offering new up-to-date solutions to develop and promote it. 

As a reminder, the notes of 2014/2015 introductory academic year lectures have been published in a book called "FILM.UA Faculty. Notes 2014/2015" (MediaBook series) – we strongly recommend to review the materials of the book before the beginning of the the new academic year. 

Invitation for the master class of Volodymyr Lokotko, CEO of New Channel, and Serhiy Yevdokimov, General producer of New Channel, scheduled for October 13th, will soon be available. View the schedule for 2016/2017 academic year.
