The Sniffer's secret will be unraveled?

Filming of The Sniffer Season 3 has started in Kyiv. New episodes of the series about a detective with a hypersensitive sense of smell will show some even more thrilling investigations of tangled crimes. This time it will be more about main protagonists' private affairs.

"Season 3 will be totally different, it will not be similar to Season 1 and even less so to Season 2. The viewers will learn more about the main protagonists and get answers to the questions they have long been interested in - but not all of them, of course, - says Artem Litvinenko, the author of the idea, co-scriptwriter and director of the project. – This time we rely on life stories of the protagonists most, including their relations, as opposed to visual effects, though those will be there as well. The crimes to be investigated have become, to my mind, more profound, more tangled and more thrilling. And the mood of this season will be brighter than the last one's."

Apart from the well-loved and known characters, this season will have a lot of new ones. "Of course we changed the Sniffer, why would we want to repeat ourselves? Just joking. To tell it serioulsy, the viewers will see the whole main cast and a lot of new Ukrainian actors. There will be no guest stars, we have refused this idea in the first place, so that they don’t steal the show, thus unfortunately, don’t expect Cumberbatch this year, says Artem Litvinenko. –  We will have foreign actors, but no top celebs.”

The filming of Season 3 of The Sniffer will take place until January 23^rd, 2017 in Ukraine and in Estonia.

They spent the first day of filming in the forest near Kyiv. The crime scene hosted The Sniffer (Kirill Kyaro), Victor Lebedev (Ivan Oganesyan), and Irina Nordeen (Agne Grudite). "The very beginning of filming is always exciting, for you have to make the third season different from the first two, more interesting, this applies both the movie itself and the nature of my role, – says Kirill Kyaro. – I don’t want to open up what the Sniffer will be like in the new episodes, I can only tell you he will think more of his past, of his family, of his parents. This is what I liked most about this season, my character going back to his roots, for he is not simply your ordinary man with unique abilities, he has his own background – we all grew up in some kind of community, we all are children of our parents, – this is what Season 3 will be all about.”

And it’s not only Sniffer’s life that will face changes, the other characters will face them too. "I am really pleased we are continuously working together. Today is the day when we all kiss, hug each other, and I am happy like a child, - says Agne Grudite, sharing first emotions from the filming. – I cannot say anything about my character yet, for I will break the intrigue and the movie will become uninteresting to watch, but this season Irina will really feel the difference, one can say she will start a new life. I would like to wish her to fall in love for real, because no woman can live without love.”

"I still don’t know what Victor will be like in the new season, for we are only today at the beginning, we still have to walk that road. But I am sure he will experience changes, for there is no sense to film and create a protagonist without any development, - says Ivan Oganesyan. – It’s our first day today, and this is were we start learning what the new season and my character will be like. Surely we would want to amaze our viewers!”
