FILM.UA finished shooting a 12-episode film with a working title A Borrowed Life, which will be premiered on Ukraina TV channel.
Night shooting, beautiful locations, dangerous scenes with car explosions, fights in rain – there are things to tell and remember. The project features a beautiful love story, criminal plots and unexpected twists, so the audience should definitely get prepared for the broadcast of this fascinating film.
The plot tells about oligarch’s daughter who wants revenge on her father and helps the police put him to jail. Understanding that father will never forgive her, Anzhela asks to include her into witness security program. However, finding herself in a provincial town, with no money, a new passport and new appearance, used to living in luxury, the girl finds out that the program does not exist. Anzhela is thrown into the very heart of a grandiose and dangerous setup, and her father is not the one who started this game.
The last shooting day was overflowing not just with emotions but also with complicated scenes. Right from a bridge under construction in Rusanovka gardens a car was thrown off, an explosion sounded… However, the residents of neighboring houses did not complain or run scared. They observed the shooting with interest and used this chance to take pictures with their favorite actors and ask for their autographs.
“We had lots of stunt scenes, lots of complicated fights – for example, in water or with car windows breaking. I should note that the main character Anzhela played by Yelena Radevich participated in stunts without a double. She crawled from the window to the balcony on the 2nd floor, went down the rope from a private house terrace 5 meters from the ground. The project got us all worked up, but it was worth it,” says Sasha Kiriyenko, director. “There is a mix of four genres in the film – there is love, death, drama and even comedy elements. It is a movie about life which has difficult tasks in stock but at the same time gives an opportunity to rethink one’s past actions. It is about reimagining a personality.”
Apart from an interesting story, A Borrowed Life will attract the audience with is great cast. Aleksey Grishin playing Lone Wolf says, “The actor’s profession is about trusting the character and doing what the character does. It is the material you have to work on. This is the perk of our profession when letters transform into living substance.” The director noted that all actors have been carefully selected and thanked the producers for trusting him with this process.
“FILM.UA projects including organization and approach to shooting are always top-notch. I feel really comfortable here and I like the feeling that I’ve had even more projects with FILM.UA than I’ve actually done,” says Kirill Zhandarov playing the role of Dmitry (Light O’Love, Road to Emptiness, Threads of Fate).
