FILM.UA and Ukraine channel start filming seasons 2 & 3 of ”Doctor on Call”, a successful Ukrainian-language TV-series

“Doctor on Call” TV-series became the first Ukrainian-language medical drama in the history of Ukrainian television. The success of the season 1 premiere confirmed the right direction set by Ukraine channel’s executive management to develop Ukrainian-language series content.

FILM.UA company commissioned by Ukraine channel will continue working on 80 new episodes for “Doctor on Call” seasons two and three. The filming will take place in Kyiv starting this August.

“Doctor on Call” premiered in May 2016 on Ukraine channel. Not only was the series highly acclaimed by its audience, its H.U.T. turned out to be well above average and it was trending upward throughout the whole screening. Moreover, “Doctor on Call” attracted a new audience from western Ukrainian region to Ukraine TV channel, propelling the channel to the top of the commercial audience slot leadership 18-54 (50+).

Moreover, the screening rights have already been sold to Kazakhstan, we are also actively negotiating it with other countries.”

The next seasons of “Doctor on Call” will offer new breathtaking life stories of doctors and patients of emergency hospital. Every day the doctors of the hospital will make Important and responsible decisions for the sake of the rescue of people’s lives. The dramatic storyline of the sequel based on real life stories would cater for each viewer’s taste.
