FILM.UA Group received two nominations at New York Festivals World's Best TV & Films

Yesterday New York Festivals World's Best TV & Films announced its 2016 finalists, among them is drama Battle for Sevastopol. Biopic about a female sniper Lyudmila Pavlichenko will compete for two awards in Mini-series and Special Visual Effects categories.

This year the festival has received hundreds of applications from over 50 countries. Ukrainan nominees also include a documentary film Airport, produced by Central TV&Radio Studio of Ukraine's Ministry of Defence with the support of FILM.UA. The story of the heroic defense of the Donetsk airport is presented in Documentaries category.

The awards gala honoring The World's Best TV & Films will take place on Tuesday April 19 at The NAB Show in Las Vegas.

In 2013 war mini-series The Bomber won Gold World Medal, and in 2015 docudrama Archimedes. The Master of Numbers from Great Dreamers cycle of TV programs received Bronze World Medal.

New York Festival's World's Best TV & Films competition honors programming in all lengths and forms from over 50 countries.
