FILM.UA Group (Ukraine), the largest audiovisual and media powerhouse in Eastern Europe,  presents for the first time its official stand at the European Film Market, which is to be held on February 11 - 19 in the framework of the 66th Berlin International Film Festival.

FILM.UA Group will present its official stand (No. 153 at IFTA Pavillion, Martin-Gropius-Bau) and hold a screening of its projects ready for distribution as well as work-in-progress.

"The world is changing, and we have to go along with it. We can no longer expand on the market with Russian-language products only, so for us it is critical to offer English-language projects intended for global audiences. FILM.UA Group has just entered this path, but I strongly believe that soon enough we will succeed, just as we did with Ukrainian and Russian markets". Igor Storchak, Head of Distribution / FILM.UA Group

The screening will present FILM.UA Group line-up of products ready for distribution and work-in-progress on February 12 (CinemaxX1).

FILM.UA Group line-up includes the following:

- The Stolen Princess – an animated feature, a modern interpretation of an all-time classic poem by Aleksandr Pushkin. Projected delivery time is 2017.

- The Stronghold – a feature fantasy about time travel and knights as superheroes. Projected delivery time is the end of 2016.

- Egregor – a mystical action thriller directed by Lubomyr Levitsky.

- Battle for Sevastopol – a period war drama about Lyudmila Pavlichenko, a legendary Soviet sniper in World War II, , premiered in April 2015.

Besides, at Berlinale Co-Production Market (February 14 - 19) FILM.UA Group will present its work-in-progress projects to potential partners. Its main focus is on big-budget animated features presently in the development stage. FILM.UA Group producer Irina Kostiuk will present 3 animated features in development.

"We already have a co-production agreement with Polish partners for one of our projects, which will be sealed in Berlin, details will be reported right afterwards. We hope to find partners for two other projects - animated features ‘Mavka’ and ‘Roksolana and Sultan’ - at the Co-production Market. ‘Roksolana and Sultan’ has great prospects, as the main character is well-known and popular worldwide, and we also have created script opportunities which would guarantee a great deal of interest from such countries as Turkey, China and India". Irina Kostiuk, producer / FILM.UA Group

"Animated features require a great deal of work during all project stages - from early development to the distribution of final product. Our primary goal is to find international co-production partners and to build a productive foundation for our marketing prospects at the European market". Egor Olesov, CEO Animagrad / FILM.UA Group

The official stand of FILM.UA Group will also hold a presentation about Ukraine’s cashrebate initiative by #KinoKraina, which aims to gain state support and to pass a law on 25% rebate system. This new legislation is crucial for Ukraine to become an attractive destination for international film producers and film crews.
