Television channel TV3 (Modern Times Group) acquired the rights to adapt the Ukrainian successful format "Daddy's house" and has already started to work on the local version of the project. The show is scheduled for autumn 2015.

Daddy's house is a comedy reality show. Each program is a story of one family consisting of Mother, Father and Children. No actors, nothing is scripted. According to the format’s rules, the wife, exhausted by housework, goes on vacation for a week and does what she has always dreamed about or never had time for. Meanwhile, the husband stays at home with the children and does all the work. The man needs to prove he can do both – be a good father and a decent housewife. He will have to complete tasks set out for him, and if he succeeds, he’ll get 3000$. If he fails, he gets nothing. However, if the husband finds the task impossible to complete, he can delegate the task to one of our experts. The task will be completed, but the prize money will be reduced by 500$.

In Ukraine the format was developed by STB TV channel (StarLightMedia). Seasons 2 and 3 made STB a leader in its slot exceeding the nearest competitor’s share by almost 100%

UA Formats is an official distributor of the fromat. UA Formats is basically a complete catalogue of almost all Ukrainian formats ever made on local TV with a one common feature – a great success story of broadcast: either in terms of ratings, number of seasons on air or number of local adaptations in CIS countries or all of those factors combined.

Recall that Daddy's house was sold to Poland.
