On Friday, September 14, 2012, a semi-final of the American television award Emmy took place at FILM.UA Studio. The authoritative jury viewed and voted for the films of the competition program in the cinema «Pravda».
Emmy is the television equivalent of the «Oscar» (for film), the award «Grammy» (for music) and the award «Tony» (for theater).
In order to determine the finalists, the jury spent a whole day watching seven movies in their original languages with English subtitles. You have to agree that watching this quantity of movies in one day is not an easy task. So choosing the venue, the main criterion was the comfort of the hall, the ability to watch video in high quality and the availability of resources to have a good rest while breaks. All these qualities are combined in the screening hall «Pravda».
